Cornflower Mask

Cornflower Mask restores deep moisture and visible firmness in a salve-meets-nectar balm. Vibrant cerulean blue petals and nourishing herbs are suspended in raw wildflower honey and whipped together with barrier-supportive oils, creating a rich emulsion that melts onto the skin. Replenishing and conditioning plants soothe stressed skin, leaving it soft and supple with hydration fully restored.

KEY ACTIONS

  • Provides intense moisture for dry, depleted skin
  • Phytonutrients to support firmness and elasticity
  • Soothing botanicals to calm and comfort stressed skin

SKIN TYPE

Dry, dehydrated, sensitive, depleted

Formulated from 19 whole plants, Cornflower Mask is our most moisturizing mask formula, bringing together firming petals, nourishing herbs, hydrating honey, and barrier-supportive lipids to deliver a soothing moisture infusion.

We begin with vibrantly blue CORNFLOWER petals, selected for their ability to support elasticity, ease inflammation, and increase hydration through their vast network of bioflavonoids.

We fold the fresh petals into raw WILDFLOWER HONEY, which contains its natural enzymes and humectant sugars that bind and draw hydration into the skin. This honeyed mixture is whipped with fresh, unrefined MACADAMIA NUT, CRANBERRY SEED, and TAMANU OILS, each chosen for their ability to strengthen the skin’s lipid barrier and prevent trans-epidermal water loss. This combination of petals, honey, and lipids deeply restores moisture to the skin, leaving it supple and firm.

Since most dehydrated skin is also nutrient-depleted and inflamed, we incorporate therapeutic whole plants to address those specific underlying causes. Mineral-rich herbs like HORSETAIL and NETTLE provide the nourishment needed to support healthy skin functioning, and soothing herbs like PASSIONFLOWER and YARROW reduce the burden of inflammation.
Microdosed CARROT SEED and BLUE CHAMOMILE essential oils bring extra cooling relief for an even, calm skin tone, rounding out a formula designed to moisturize, firm, and restore dry, stressed skin.

USAGE
Moisten face and hands. Scoop 1 teaspoon or less of Cornflower Mask into fingertips, then glide and massage over damp, clean skin. Leave on for 10-30 minutes, then remove using a warm, damp cloth. Follow with Elixir and Serum.

RITUAL
Cornflower Mask invites a different kind of ritual and is especially soothing after long days in the sun or wind, when skin feels dry or overexposed. Its honey-balm texture allows it to sit comfortably on the skin, slowly infusing moisture and nutrients over time. Applying the Mask to slightly dampened skin activates the hydrating enzymes in the honey and the bioflavonoids in the petals. Once applied, it stays in place, making it easy to move through your morning or evening, reading, cooking, or simply resting, while the mask goes to work. Its lipids keep the mask moist on the skin, allowing for an extended period of deep conditioning and moisture support. When you are ready to remove it, use a touch of warm water to soften the balm and gently massage, infusing those nutrients into the skin one final time. Last step is to remove any excess Mask with a warm, steamy cloth and reveal a supple, dewy glow.

100% Whole Plant Organic

CORNFLOWER
Rich in the flavonoid anthocyanin, Cornflower’s abilities include strengthening cellular membranes and responding to active free radicals. Apigenin, also present in Cornflower, has been studied for its ability to prevent certain types of cancer by inhibiting multiple inflammatory pathways. Gel-like mucilage in Cornflower contributes to its exceptional ability to condition, hydrate, and soothe the skin.

HORSETAIL
Horsetail contains high amounts of amino acids and minerals, specifically silica, supporting the production of collagen, helping to maintain skin elasticity and firmness. The tannins present in Horsetail help to tone the skin and improve texture.

NETTLE
Nettle leaf is rich in hundreds of plant constituents like vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K; minerals such as iron, calcium, zinc, and magnesium; and polyphenol compounds to nourish cells with the building blocks that support every aspect of healthy cellular activity.

MACADAMIA NUT OIL
Fresh and completely unprocessed, from a family farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. High in skin-firming tannins, vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and naturally occurring squalene. This beautiful oil leaves behind a smooth texture and prolonged moisture barrier.

MORINGA LEAF + SEED
Moringa Oil is plentiful in trace minerals and amino acids – crucial building blocks for the skin – and its flavonoid and carotenoid compounds protect cells from damage and oxidative stress.

HONEY
Our raw, organically farmed honey is fresh and vibrant, delivered directly by our partner farms. Honey is an ideal choice to balance the microbiome, and it has a gentle enzymatic action that works to turn over cells in a non-forceful way. As if that wasn’t enough, Honey is effortlessly hydrating, visibly plumping, and firming to the skin.

    A Sourcing Story
Cornflower Mask perfectly embodies our sourcing practices and highlights our approach to formulation. These vibrant blue flowers popped up all on their own on the land of one of our partnering farms. They took over the fields and told Laurel clearly that they wanted to be made into medicine. As our research went deeper into the plant constituents, we learned of the exceptional abilities this blossom had to share, and soon after, the Cornflower Mask was born. This alignment with the Earth, birthing into the world what it tells us is needed, is how we can make products that are so vibrant, potent, and intentional. A true collaboration between Laurel Skin and Mother Earth.
